race training update

A week or two ago I mentioned that Joe and I were both having some knee issues while training for these upcoming races.

I did a couple short runs during the week last week that didn’t seem to be a problem, but our 18 miler last Sunday did not go so well. It always seems to be around mile 6 that the pain hits.

We ended up stopping after 9 and heading to the recovery center. They seem to think the best plan for us is to stop running until our races, cross train, and hit the recovery center a couple times a week. So…that is the plan!


I think we will both be fine for the Ragnar next weekend, but the marathon the following weekend is still up in the air. We are going to do all we can until then and hope for the best!

In more delicious news, dinner last night was a good one from Blue Apron. Spicy shrimp linguini with kale!
