17 miles and lunch dates!

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Joe had to go back east this weekend for a funeral ๐Ÿ˜ฆ so I was hanging solo.

Friday night was a quiet one with bowtie pasta, turkey meatballs and an early bedtime.IMG_3466[1] IMG_3467[1]

Saturday I was up early and headed out to Waterton Canyon for the long run. I wanted to do somewhere between 18 and 20 miles, but miles 7-11 were on really tough single track trail with quite the elevation gain, so I decided 17 would be just enough.IMG_3476[1]IMG_3472[1]

The fall foliage was gorgeous and the wildlife was all over the trail!IMG_3477[1]IMG_3471[1]IMG_3474[1]IMG_3479[1]IMG_3480[1]IMG_3481[1]

There were 2 girls that started right before me and I basically trailed behind them the entire run. They stopped briefly at the top of the trail and I turned around a little early, but we passed each other and I could have sworn one of the girls looked familiar.

Through IG later that day, I realized it was Kelly from K and J Colorado!IMG_3478[1]

I actually felt really good the whole time…no IT issues, which had been popping up on the last couple long runs. I had a little aching in my left achileas, but nothing unbearable.IMG_3483[1]

It was a little weird doing the run alone since Joe and I always do our long runs together. But, I am glad I did it ๐Ÿ™‚

I hit up the sports recovery center afterward (which I promise I am posting about this week)

Ice tub!

Then met a friend for lunch….can’t go wrong with crabcakes benedict.IMG_3486[1]

Sunday was a day of shoe shopping, lunch with another friend, and a visit to SAM’s club!ย IMG_3493[1]IMG_3495[1]IMG_3492[1]

How was your weekend?
