NYC weekend recap

Happy Monday everyone! I am seriously tired since Joe and I didn’t get in until after 1am last night. Totally worth the pain though – we had an awesome weekend back east filled with family and friends.

After taking the red eye to JFK Friday night, we went straight to Joe’s grandmas house in Staten Island to shower and get dressed for the wedding. It was a 10am wedding, so we didn’t even have a chance to rest.IMG_1162[1]IMG_1165[1]

The event was small, but beautiful and so nice to see so much family! Also….you can guarantee the food will be amazing at an Italian wedding…and it was!IMG_1178[2]

On Sunday we headed over to another of Joe’s cousins to meet the new baby – Claire! I didn’t snap a pic, but she is teeny tiny and has a huge mop of black hair!IMG_1169[1]

Next, Joe and I took the train into the city to meet up with some friends. We had a couple drinks and hung out for a couple short hours before we had to rush to the airport to come back home. Bittersweet for sure.IMG_1174[1]IMG_1173[1]IMG_1172[1]

We grabbed some quick sushi at the airport before boarding and heading back to Denver. Another long work week ahead! IMG_1179[2]

How was your weekend? What did you do?
