Breckenridge Oktoberfest

Saturday, Joe and I headed up to Breckenridge to meet up with a bunch of people from his company for an event.IMG_0953[1]

We started by mountain biking on Boreas Pass. The scenery was beautiful and the weather was perfect – a crisp fall day!IMG_0960[1] IMG_0964[1] IMG_0965[1] IMG_0966[1]

We did a little bit of single track at the end and I got going just a little too fast…totally hit the wrong brake and ended up flipping over my handle bars. I landed pretty hard and rolled down a hill, but managed not to break anything πŸ™‚ Definitely bruised and sore though.

After biking we walked into town to join in the Oktoberfest fun. Look at our huge steins!IMG_0972[1] IMG_0967[1]

It rained for about half an hour but we just ducked into a bar. Then we headed back out to find some German food. The smoked salmon was calling my name, so I got it over focaccia with German style potato salad. Joe went with a classic brat. Β Β IMG_0986[1]

Yesterday brought more rain to the area. We do live right on the Platte river which has flooded in many areas, but luckily we are pretty high above it. So, don’t worry- Joe and I are doing ok, but some of our friends in Boulder are not so lucky 😦 Thoughts and prayers go out to them. Β IMG_0952[1]
