a date, rocks and a dog!

Saturday night Joe and I had a date night! We decided to use a groupon and head to a neighborhood spot – Zengo.IMG_0765[1]

The food was awesome (asian-latin fusion) and the service was awesome! We had chicken buns and 2 kinds of ceviche for an appetizer and then split the seafood special. It was basically just a big bowl of deliciousness!IMG_0802[2]

After dinner we walked downtown and popped into a cool bar – Blake St. Vault. Joe and I finally tried a moscow mule – it may be my new favorite drink!IMG_0770[1]

Sunday morning we got up nice and early and headed to a new area to climb – Castlewood Canyon. I loved this spot- the climbs were great and the approach was pretty short and easy. There were lots of trees so we got some nice shade as the day went on.IMG_0785[1]

After a few hours on the rocks we headed into Castle Rock and had a late lunch at The Rockyard Brewery. Veggie platter and veggie burger for the win!IMG_0801[2]

When we got back to Denver we spent some QT with the pup since he was heading home a little later.IMG_0797[3]

Hope you have a great week!

  5. I recently tried a Moscow Mule too! They have them at a new local Margarita Cantin and Tequila bar here. I love how COLD the copper keeps your drink.

  6. How funny- I also recently encountered the Moscow Mule too! I had never heard of them until last week. I agree ^ the copper glass is fun to drink out of. šŸ™‚

  7. That restaurant looks so good! I love finding new places and usually find some good ones through Groupon or Living Social. Such a great idea!
