WIAW + Workouts #50 –RACE WEEK!

T-minus 3 days now until the race…ahhhhhhhhhhh. My eating is going pretty well this week. I’ve increased the carbs and protein, so my meals will look a teeny bit different than normal :). I am also keeping my workouts pretty low impact and low intensity.

Breakfast: blueberry bagel w/ strawberry cream cheese + honeydewIMG_0123[1]

Snack:  IMG_0124[1]

Lunch: salad: iceburg, spinach, tomato, carrots, pickles, avocado, corn, hard boiled egg, raisins, chia seed, nutritional yeast, raspberry viniagrette dressing IMG_0125[1]

Snack:      IMG_0132[1]

Dinner: Italian marinated chicken w/ mozzerella & tomato (thanks Joe!) + asparagusIMG_0122[1]

Dessert: a new Yonana creation: banana, blueberry, peach!      



  • sunday – 8 mile trail run + rock climbing
  • monday – yoga
  • tuesday – 3.5 mile run + abs
  • wednesday – yoga
  • thursday – 3 mile run + abs
  • friday – REST

  1. Girl, does your Yonana work good? Either I’m using it wrong, or somethings wrong with it. Ha Ha!

    • Yea- it works great and is super easy to use…maybe there is something wrong with yours??
      You do have to take it apart and scrape out the excess when you’re done- it leaves a lot of deliciousness inside 🙂

  2. All of this food looks amazing – especially your lunch! Love all of the different colors.

    That workout looks super tough! I don’t know if I could handle that 20 second deadhang at the end…I might fall off the bar 😛

    • haha- seriously…Tribesports comes up with some pretty challenging workouts.
      There is something so good about a huge bowl full of fresh veggies in the summer 🙂

  3. Your salad looks awesome! Don’t you just love adding pickles to salads? It is one of my new favorite things to do!

    • Yes!! Pickles have been my favorite food since I was a baby, but I only started adding them to salads a few months ago too! It’s crazy I hadn’t thought of it before!

  4. I don’t see watermelon! Lol. I just bought a giant watermelon to keep myself hydrated. The heat here is suddenly intense and I am feeling it on my runs.

    • I know!! I actually went to the store to get some yesterday and they were all pretty subpar 😦 I just couldn’t commit!
      Going to a different store today to get one!

  7. I love love love bagels and cream cheese. It’s ridiculous really haha I also love that asparagus, looks so yummy. can’t wait for your race, great job and the good eats!

  9. So I think I missed that you have a Yonana machine. I saw that Jessie asked you how you like it above. I thought about getting one for my dad because he loves banana soft serve, but I’m worried that it’s one of those things that will never get used in favor of a food processor. Is a yonana a basically a one trick pony? I think the concept is awesome and would be so great to have!

    That salad is so colorful and pretty and it sounds so good! I think, because of you, I’ll buy pickles for my lunch salad this week. Woo!
