shhhh…it was a secret!

Good Monday morning to you! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! My weekend plans were totally kept secret because I was flying home for my brother’s surprise graduation party!

I’ve had this planned for a couple weeks now,but only a couple people knew I would be coming…everyone else got a double surprise! My brother, the smarty pants that he is, just graduated from University of Michigan with his MBA! So, my mom and his wife threw together a surprise party for him.                         IMG_2810[1]

I flew home late Friday night (getting in around 1am) and went straight to bed. Somehow I managed to get up at 7 the next morning and go for a long run. I got it in my head that I wanted to run a half marathon, so I did!! And, in my new favorite shirt, of course!                                                                              IMG_2771[1]IMG_2772[1]IMG_2773[1]

It was definitely easier to breathe at sea level, but it was so humid that I didn’t go as fast as I thought I would. Still finished under 2 hours, so I was happy with it 🙂

When I got home I made some cheesy scrambled eggs with tons of peppers. YUM! IMG_2774[1]

Then it was time to shower and head over to my sisters to check out her new condo and grab a light lunch (I had a greek salad, but forgot to take a pic).  IMG_2775[1]

Before we knew it, it was time to head to my brother’s party! We got there early to make sure everything was set up properly. There was tons of delicious foods and desserts- everything looked great!                                                                IMG_2777[1]IMG_2780[1]IMG_2779[1]

Matt was totally surprised and everyone had such a great time! So proud of him 🙂IMG_2785[1]

Sunday, my mom and I went over to my brother’s house to hang with my nephews a bit more. Lots of swinging and tractor driving occurred.   IMG_2800[1]IMG_2803[1]IMG_2801[1]

Then, my mom and I made a stop at DSW…new shoes!       IMG_2806[1]

Before I knew it, it was time to head to the airport. Awesome weekend, but super fast! I actually go back next weekend for my sister’s med school graduation, so I will be seeing everyone again before ya know it!

How was your weekend? Any races? Family time?
