A snowy run

Good Friday morning everyone! I’m so glad this was a quick week!

We had a major snow storm in Denver on Wednesday night and totally should have had a snow day yesterday, but I have the world’s worst luck, so it was not to be. However, I did get to leave work about 30 minutes early two days in a row…so…HOLLA! 😉

I came home, strapped on the yaktrax and headed out for a run. It was still snowing and was definitely pretty slick and crazy in spots, but I knocked out a steady 5 miles.                                                                                            IMG_2366[1] IMG_2367[1]

Then I made a weird, but really good dinner of leftovers. In the mix was butternut squash soup, brown rice, carrots, onions, seitan, cauliflower, and kale. mmmmm… 🙂                                                                      IMG_2368[1]

Not sure what’s on the books for this weekend, but you can be sure that snowboarding will be involved 🙂 Have a great day!

What are you up to this weekend?

  1. Your run looks like it was pretty chilly! Running in slippery conditions always slows me waaay down because I’m terrified of slipping and falling. I have a birthday party, some running, and some yoga planned for this weekend. Have a great weekend and have fun snowboarding!

  2. Sometimes leftovers end up making the best meals! Got some ice skating and picking out new running shoes planned for the weekend.

  3. That sounds like an amazing combo with the butternut soup. Happy Friday! 🙂

  4. I would say that’s a pretty kick ass run in the snow no less! I love it! Have a good wknd girl!!

  5. Kale is so delish! Have fun snowboarding this weekend! I’m going to a card tournament and am pretty excited about it 🙂

  6. Way to go for getting out in the cold and running! I haven’t tried Sietan before but have been wanting to. Have fun snow boarding! My hubby is on a boys snowboard trip in Colorado right now and loving it!

  7. Hey there!
I’ve nominated you for the Liebster Award!
Hope you have a great weekend!
