I’m not going to lie, Valentine’s Day is not really one of my favorite holidays. Yes it’s cute and I love that it’s a day meant for recognizing your significant other, but I sort of think you should do that everyday. Anyway, I will stop being a Debbie Downer and get into the spirit! 🙂

I did sneak make a construction paper Valentine and sneak it into Joe’s lunch bag this morning 🙂 Adorable, yes?

I think Joe and I are just cooking dinner together and maybe watching a movie. pretty low key and that’s totally fine with me. We may or may not be doing something more exciting to celebrate this weekend 😉

Speaking of dinner, last night’s was a delicious one: veggie burgers with mashed potatoes! I love me some mashed potatoes and they remind me of my mom since she makes the world’s best!

I also bought a Groupon for Core Power Yoga (the yoga studio I went to when I first moved here)  so I am excited to start hitting up some yoga and spinning classes really soon!

And on an adorable note, one of my students brought me this the other morning…how sweet is that?!

How are you celebrating Valentine’s Day?

I agree that it shouldn’t take a holiday like Valentines day to express your love for one another. Your evening plans sound lovely. Joshua has some sort of surprised dinner date this evening.

  2. My hubby and I do the same thing for v-day! Not a huge fan of it, so we just like to chill out together. Core power yoga sounds beyond amazing!

  3. Aw that’s such a sweet gift. I love those Hershey bars- I don’t think I’ve had one in years. Happy Valentine’s Day!

  4. Looking at the photo of your dinner suddenly made me really hungry. I have a fierce love for mashed potatoes. My V-Day plans include working out (yoga and some running) and just chilling out and doing things that make me happy for a little self-love. 🙂

  5. Aw that’s so sweet of your students! Perks of being a teacher 🙂

  6. Your students are so sweet! My coworker gave me this little mini red velvet cupcake and it just made my day!

  7. Ryan and I don’t really celebrate big on Valentine’s Day either. I agree with you. Celebrate loving one another everyday! 🙂
