Once again, Joe and I packed the jeep and headed upstate for the weekend. There was an end of season party at The Ranch and with this forecast we were hoping to get in a couple jumps before it got too cold!
Joe had a dentist appointment and I had to work until 1, so we got a late start, but the clouds weren’t suppose to clear until the afternoon anyway. We hit the road around 3 and went straight to the campsite to set up our tent. Then, we headed over to the drop zone. It was too late to jump at that point, but we wanted to get there for the end of season party.
It was fun to see everyone and the award for Rookie of the Year was given out!
After the BBQ, we headed back to the campsite and hung out around a fire until we were got sleepy and headed to bed.
The next morning we got up nice and early and headed back to the drop zone. Winds were suppose to be a little unpredictable, but we thought the morning would be our best shot at getting some jumps in.
Unfortunately it was just super gusty and basically stayed that way all day. We hung out for about 4 hours before calling it a day. However, it wasn’t a wasted day! Joe and I headed to a nearby apple orchard/pumpkin patch to get in some seasonal fun!
After the orchard we got in the car for a long (stuck in traffic) drive home to the city. But, it was still early by the time we got back, so we ordered dinner and carved our pumpkins!
How was your weekend? What did you do?
