This post title obviously required several exclamation points 🙂
Joe and I leave tonight for Shannon, Ireland and we are both beyond excited. Neither of us have been there before, and we are going to see some very good friends tie the knot!
This has been a crazy week of preparations, tying up loose ends and getting a lot of errands done.
I had a whole bunch of work stuff to catch up/get ahead on while Joe just played with his new sleeping bag. haha
I cut my 12 miles down to 10 because I ran out of time!I organized/mailed my Foodie Pen Pal box (you should sign up for this if you haven’t already- so fun!)
Luckily his mom was able to meet me for lunch and a ride to the train station! We had a chaotic packing session, which included a debate over whether or not to booc (bring our own chia)..I voted bring, but there’s only so much room in one suitcase 😦
But now we just have a couple hours of work and then it’s off to JFK! We land in Shannon tomorrow morning and are going to head toward Galway. We have a welcome reception there on Sunday and the wedding is on Tuesday in Connemara. After that, we are spending the next 4 days driving the coast and exploring our way over to Dublin. And we fly back to NYC out of Dublin Sunday morning.
I’m not going to blog along the way, but I do have some pre-written and guests posts going up while I’m gone, so be sure to check in!
And you know I will have a major recap when I get back!
Have you ever been to Ireland? What’s the next trip you have planned?
