Guess what I ordered?

I decided it’s finally time to buck up and buy my own hydration belt. I’ve been researching them for a while and found the exact one I want.

Nathan Speed 2 Energy Belt Hydration

Joe’s belt has 4 bottles and is WAY too big for me. However I only ever fill 2 bottles (and usually only half way), so I wanted to get one that only held 2 bottles. I also like the size of the pouch on this one. Β Super excited for it to arrive!!

I ended up getting a great deal on amazon and I threw in a couple packages of Sport Beans too. I’ve never tried them, but hear really good thing..plus, I love jelly beans. So, this might be the perfect running fuel for me!

Do you use any sort of hydration system on your long runs? Have you tried the sport beans?

  1. I have the same one! Except mine is pink, lol. πŸ™‚ It works great. I can fit my phone, honey stingers, and key in the pocket and 2 bottles is enough for me. πŸ™‚

    • Awesome! I am so happy to hear you like it….you never know when you order something without being able to try how it feels. I had such a hard time choosing a color- haha!

      • Oh and a tip…wear it at your tiniest part of your waist…I first tried wearing near my hips and it kept moving up and flopping and dripping and chafing and I was ready to throw it at a car…but now it’s in the middle of my tummy…the smallest part, I keep it tight, and now it doesn’t go anywhere πŸ™‚

      • That is such a good tip! The first time I wore Joe’s was for the NYC 1/2 and it’s so big I had to wear it around my hips to be able to close it. It flopped around so much it completely drove me insane! I’m excited to get my own that fits!

  2. I have a good 4 bottle snap-belt. Ran with it on all long runs and used it at SF. Especially useful to wash away the tears once you realize you ran 20 miles and have a 10K left.

  4. Yes! I have several Nathan hydration systems. Two belts (one with 2 bottles and another with 4) and also a hydration pack. I’ve been using the pack more lately, just because I’ve been running more trails and I prefer not to wear a belt for trails. Don’t ask. It’s weird.

    And I love the beans! I actually don’t take any gels or GU’s anymore because they make me sick to my stomach. However, the beans, blocks, chews, work just fine! And occasionally pb crackers and salt sticks. πŸ˜‰
