Does anyone else have issues with shin splints? I never did before the last year or so, but they have just become a constant nagging issue. Sometimes they go away for a bit, then sneak back up. I feel like I have tried everything possible to help them, but nothing seems to work!! FRUSTRATED!!
I was so concerned about my left one a few months ago, that I completely stopped training and hadn’t run the entire 5 weeks before the NYC 1/2 marathon. But as soon as I started running again, they were right there.
I feel like this is just something I am going to have to live with, and usually they start feeling better after the first mile or two, but they are seriously driving me insane!!
Ok…thanks for letting me vent- if anyone has any suggestions other than rest, ice, compression, stretching, please let me know!
Not much has been going on this week. I have been taking it easy on the workouts because of the aforementioned shin issue and I want them to feel good for Sunday’s 11 miler.
I’ve actually been away for the last couple days visiting these cuties in Long Island (I use to nanny for them when they lived in the city).
Many of these were consumed in order to keep up!
I just got back this morning and Joe left last night for a bachelor party in Las Vegas…yikes! He comes home Sunday night, but I leave Sunday afternoon for a work thing in Houston, so I won’t even see him until really late Monday night.
