Birthday!!

I seriously cannot believe I am 31…what?….what? Anyway, moving on! The birthday has been great so far. I went to Hot Yoga this morning with a new teacher (Lulu). Her class was different from the ones I usually take. I tend to like the fast ones that are constantly flowing from pose to pose so I really get my heart rate up. Lulu had us hold some really challenging poses for a loooooong time…it was tough but in a totally different way than I am use to! Nice to change it up a bit, but I still think I like the faster classes better.

After Yoga, I treated myself to a Skinny Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks. I try not to get these often, but it’s my b-day, so I splurged πŸ™‚ . I had to move the car to the other side of the street and sit in it for about 45 minutes, so I did a crossword and enjoyed my coffee.

Then I came home to find a wrapped box on the table (I was so excited, I tore into it before taking a picture) with this note on top!

We only had Xmas wrapping paper, so I guess he was sticking with the theme πŸ˜‰ Love the crab!

Inside was a super cute dress that I pointed out to Joe like a month ago! How sweet is he?? I have no idea what the plans are for tonight, but I will be sure to get a picture in the dress!

I have been seriously itching to run, so I thought…why not go for a nice short run to test out the shins? I headed over to the East River and just did 2 miles, which felt pretty good! Ran at an 8:30 pace for the first mile and 8:00 for the second one. It just felt good to be running again! I will ice a lot and give the legs a couple days rest before going out there again.

Showered and dressed at home, I was starving for lunch since I didn’t eat much this morning. I used Joe’s crab salad from dinner last night and threw it onto some greens, added some tomatoes, pickles, Β chia and nutritional yeast. YUM!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Thursday!

    • Hi!! Thanks for commenting- you’re blog looks really great as well! Yes, those are chia seeds- I eat them all day on a lot of random things πŸ™‚
So, we actually have a wacky amount of things in common too! I also was a very competitive gymnast (not elite like you…I fractured a vertebrae during level 9), but then I switched to diving and competed through college! Kind of crazy, right?
So glad you found me and I can’t wait to look around your blog more πŸ™‚

      • Wow that is freaky, as I also have done diving too.. πŸ™‚ Now I just do running and hoping to get back into triathlon, it’s just so expensive. Ot was so random to, so yay… πŸ™‚ Hope you’re having an awesome weekend! πŸ™‚
